Telecommunications Technicians in Vancouver

Our next training session will commence in Vancouver, BC (date to be confirmed). The duration of the training will consist of 2 weeks at Dialtone Academy online, 2 weeks in-class instruction, and a 1-week ride along  session with our experienced Technicians for a more hands-on experience.

To help our contractors with the financial considerations to start up, we will bear the cost of the training, in exchange for a one-year commitment to Dialtone MD upon the completion of the training session.

Excellent instruction in one of Vancouver’s best hands-on facilities is designed to equip you with all the tools you need to succeed as a Telecommunications Technician. Training will equip you with knowledge of:

• Business/Residential Installations and Repair
• Installation and repair of data and telecommunications cabling and equipment
• FLHA
• Ladder Safety, Fall Protection, and Ground Disturbance
• Diagnosing customer issues on a daily basis
• Install of fiber optic cabling and knowledge of InR, GPON, ADSL, and POTS.

Dialtone MD has a contractor-based workforce servicing Telus and Ledcor. We would be looking to hire you as a contractor, not as an employee. An estimated Install and Repair Technician’s gross annual pay is $65,000 – $110,000, depending on your work ethic.

Contractor requirements (to be executed prior to the completion of training):

• You must purchase/own a white utility van (no older than 6 years old) with a ladder rack bolted on and cabinets installed inside. **Lease to own option also available
• Vehicle expenses including but not limited to maintenance, gas, and insurance
• WCB coverage and Commercial Liability insurance
• Specialized Technician tools (required for training classes) including laptop and safety wear *Conditional Financing Available
