It’s easy to get complacent about workplace safety and think we’ve heard it all. But turning routine safety inspections into a group activity brings us all together and reminds our team of the importance of working safely. Dialtone believes that the safety of our workers and customers requires a proactive approach. So before the fall routine sets in, we invited all our lower mainland technicians to come together for an end of summer safety inspection.

We checked everyone’s expiry dates on their PPE (personal protective equipment) to make sure they are still current and will do the job. This included checking all the fall arrest equipment, so our workers are secure when they work at heights. We checked their climbing gears, harnesses, ropes, bungee lanyards, and other gears.

And while we had the team together, we also did a crash revision training session on voltage detectors C990. Supervisor Ted McComb checked all voltage detectors to confirm they were in working condition. Then Technician Arash K. reviewed procedures and he was able to explain the safe and proper process perfectly.

It was a great team-building day with all our Technicians arriving well-dressed and properly equipped. This dedication from our workers helps us to keep everyone safe and perform well on the job.
